| 説明 | Henri Cartier-Bresson had a thing for watching people in London and I can see why. British people are just plain unique in the way they dress, the way they act and react. British humour is just totally different from what we're used to in North America.Here are two Londoners admiring the display of Chinese BBQ items including pork, duck, and a large squid. We did try some Chinese food and the Chinese restaurants are quite decent for the most part. Not the Chinese take-a-way stuff you find outside of London at all, this stuff is very authentic Cantonese style.You'll find that most of the Chinese restaurants in London are run by Cantonese speaking Chinese likely from Hong Kong. My dad, way back when he studied in England worked in a Chinese restaurant. Hakka people were one of the earliest to emigrate from the Hong Kong area (in search of higher education due to our lack of good farm land) and there's a large population of them concentrated around London. If there's a Chinese restaurant in a somewhat odd place that you don't expect to have one, chances are it was started by a Hakka person some years ago.www.wilsonhui.com |
