| 説明 | When Daniel Garlick got the tender for the Prince Alfred Hotel in 1869 his business associate Caleb Peacock was the Lord Mayor of the City of Adelaide. Peaocck was a director of the Australasian Bank and Garlick won the tender for many Australasian bank branches too. The architect of the Town Hall Edmund Wright inspected Garlick's work on the Prince of Alfred Hotel to ensure it was sympathetic with his design for the Adelaide Town Hall which was bulit between 1863 and 1866. Conflcit emerged between the two architects over the construction of the Prince of Alfred Hotel. |
