| 説明 | At Sir Richard Arkwright's Cromford Mills.Cromford Mill was the first water-powered cotton spinning mill developed by Richard Arkwright in 1771 in Cromford, Derbyshire, England, which laid the foundation of his fortune and was quickly copied by mills in Lancashire, Germany and the United States. It forms the centrepiece of the Derwent Valley Mills, now a World Heritage Site.The mill is Grade I listed.Cromford Mill, Cromford In the entry for the following: 1. The buildings are semi-fortified, designed to resist rioters, and surrounded by high walls with a convex gatehouse. The main block of ashlar, 3-storeyed and with plain sash windows. Including a 3-storeyed stone rubble block with 6 2-light mullioned windows and a 2-storeyed block with 5 sash windows and channelled lintels, both on left-hand side; cast iron aqueduct dated 1821 spans roadway.
