| 説明 | One of the most spectacular features in the park is the dramatic “Great Gorge” of the Ruth Glacier. Almost three vertical miles below the summit of Mount McKinley, this gorge collects all the snow that falls on the southeast side of the mountain, making the Ruth Glacier one of the largest in the park with a height from top to bottom that is taller than the Grand Canyon. Some of the largest glaciers in the park are the Ruth, Kahiltna, and Muldrow. Mountain climbers start their ascent of Mount McKinley from a base camp on the Kahiltna Glacier. The Muldrow and Polychrome glaciers are visible from the Park Road, but the most dramatic views of glaciers are from the air. |
