| 説明 | Indisputably the most famous of all gangsters, Alphonse Capone was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was a member of the Five Points Gang and became bodyguard & confidant of gangster Johnny Torrio. After being summoned to Chicago by Big Jim Colosimo, Torrio took over as head of the North Side Gang with Al Capone at this side. After a failed attempt on his life, Torrio retired to Italy and appointed Capone as head of the gang. His gang emerged triumphant in the Beer Wars of the Prohibition Era and became the singular organized crime syndicate in Chicago, known simply as The Outfit, which exists to this day.Given an 11 year sentence in 1931 for tax evasion, he was paroled after eight years, retired to his home in Florida and died of syphilis in 1947.
