| 説明 | These charts show the air quality in Sedona AZ during the Slide Fire (June 2014) and the Willard Fire (July 2014) - data was recorded live by AZ Department of Environmental Quality Portable Particulate Monitors. phoenixvis.net/ppmmain.aspx With fire comes smoke. The Willard Fire is a wildfire, and once fire managers commit to managing the fire for certain benefits, it cannot be simply ‘turned off’.’ Fire managers can influence how fire moves through the landscape and can utilize tactics to minimize the duration of the heaviest smoke impacts. Fire managers establish a clear plan from the beginning; they know where and how they'll need to conduct burnout operations. By completing the large burnout ops in a few days, the overall duration of heavy smoke in the communities is shorter -- several days instead of several weeks. |
