The whole of this garden is divided into two parts, the Paseo Catalina de Ribera and Murillo Gardens itself. The prior Seville City Councilman and lawyer Baldomero Laguillo Bonilla was the proposed name Jardines de Murillo gardens to those found near the house where the famous painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo was born.Monument to Christopher ColumbusThe central axis is interrupted at its midpoint by a wide circular space centered by a fountain, also circular on that rise above a pedestal with busts of Columbus and the Catholic Monarchs, two columns supporting an entablature crowned by the figure of a lion and half shaft, the prows of the ships.
