| 説明 | A Special Forces soldier from A Company 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group jumps from an HH-60 Pavehawk with the 101st Rescue Squadron on July 24th, 2014. The soldiers training with the 101 RQS took turns mounting an inflatable zodiac to the bottom of the HH-60 Pavehawk, then flying out to the ocean to release it. The soldiers would then follow the zodiac into the water.Shortly after, the aircrew extracted the soldiers from the water using a SPIE system. The SPIE (or Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction) system was developed as a means to rapidly insert and/or extract service members from an area that does not permit a helicopter to land.
