| 説明 | With fire comes smoke. The Willard Fire is a wildfire, and once fire managers commit to managing the fire for certain benefits, it cannot be simply ‘turned off’.’ Fire managers can influence how fire moves through the landscape and can utilize tactics to minimize the duration of the heaviest smoke impacts. Fire managers establish a clear plan from the beginning. They know where and how they'll need to conduct burnout operations, and by completing the large burnout ops in a few days, the overall duration of heavy smoke in the communities is shorter -- several days instead of several weeks.
