| 説明 | Royal Palace of Amsterdam was completed in 1655 and was originally Amsterdam's city hall. When the Netherlands came under French hegemony, Napolean Bonaparte's brother Louis was installed as king. He converted the building into a palace in 1806. After the French were expelled, the new Dutch monarchy used it as a royal palace. Today it is used for offical functions during state visits, and is open to visitors. |
