| 説明 | Morven. The tiny town of Morven has about 300 residents and its claim to fame is that is marks the boundary between the Mulga country to the west and the Brigalow country to the east. The town was surveyed in 1880 from resumed land from Victoria Downs sheep station although the reserve for the town was set aside as early as 1859. It was the arrival of the railway in Roma in 1880 and in Mitchell in 1885 that spurred life into tiny Morven. The train passed through here around 1887 just before it reached Charleville in 1888. Not much other excitement has happened in Morven since 1887. |
