| 説明 | Each day, before seagull-cries start gliding through the air,fishermen pitch out over incoming waves to put out their nets.Each day, when first sunrays grope their way over earths surface,flowers unfold their blossoms to attract insects.Each day, just after digital alarm clocks kick-start urban life,rolling shutters rise to display what is to be bought.And fishermen put out their nets,and flowers present their pollen,and shop windows promise individualityin this one world, each day.And the fish are getting caught,and insects transport pollen from flower to flowerand people start buying.Advertising is intended to create a need,where none was previously,and it does this really well.But,is this right?Resources are limited,so consumption should be too.Already we are living on the costsof our children and the bill will be presented.How long can we still afford to act as if we were not aware?So be aware, that the nets are out,and before you become entangledjust make a short pauseand ask yourself:“Does this, what I am intended to buy,really make my life richer,happier or more fulfilled?Or is it just another net?Something which just adds unneeded weight to my life?”You need some practise and effortto swim around a net.No special skills or hassle are required to get caught though.Our economy tells us,that our society needs growth to succeed.Our worldview tells us that progressis the way out of suffering, sickness and death,and so we accelerate.So what if there is not this “exit” at the end,but just an ordinary old brickwall,which we are going hurtling towards with an enormous speed and without safety helmet?Our behaviour is similar to the one of cancer cells in an organism, unchecked growth.Our strategy is similar to the one of swarming grasshoppers,and it looks as if our end would be too.Nature tells us,that we will only survive,if we adapt to available resources.We do know this.The figures are there.But knowledge will not turn the steering wheelinto another direction,or put on the brake to think it over again.Only action will.We definitely are going to react one day,maybe then when it will start to hurt,but also maybe too late.And even this,would be natural,as life goes on...and the nets are out. |
