| 説明 | I think I accidentally photographed the wrong identification card so I am uncertain about the origin of this piece. Although she does appear to be cradling an offering of some kind as depicted on the card, her left arm is away from her body and she appears to be bronze, not limestone like the ID card that I photographed said. I couldn't even find her in a search of the Getty's collections. However, I did find one of a young Etruscan man with a similar hairstyle and with his feet placed in a similar pose. He was a votive figure from the 5th century BCE so I have labeled her as such. If anyone knows the specifics about this figure please let me know.Photographed at the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades, California. |
