| 説明 | On April 21 2014, Brigadier General Raymond Shields, Director of the Joint Staff for the 16,000-member New York National Guard and Colonel Steven Fukino New York National Guard's Director of Domestic Operations, responsible for coordinating the National Guard's response to homeland security operations and state emergencies visited the service Members the NY National Guard Joint Task Force Empire Shield (JTF-ES) during a MASS (Multi- Agency Super Surge) exercise that was held in NYC along multiple Federal, State, and Law Enforcement agencies. JTFES participated in the Multi Agency Super Surges (MASS) which was held on the same day as the 2014 Boston Marathon, as part of the overall readiness/training and response capabilities in securing the citizens of the NY Metropolitan Area. Joint Task Force - Empire Shield conducts Homeland Security operations, in the New York City Metropolitan Area, in order to deter and prevent terrorist acts.
