| 説明 | No 1 Lorry of the Metropolitan Abattoirs Board Fleet of 17. The truck had a 7 Ton capacity and 27 h.p. motor. The vehicle which cost £1075 was built by Holdens and fitted with carbide headlamps and kerosene side and tail lamps, and a bulb horn. The Lorries speed was 12 mph with a fuel efficiency of five miles to the gallon. The crown of Folland Hill (the rise just north of Enfield on Main North Road) had to be cut away as the vehicle could not manage the gradient. The hard tyred vehicles were used from 1913-1937.
