Tuesday afternoon, 25 April 2006www.SteveOtoolePhotography.comH Street Corridor, NE seriesElvert Xavier Barnes Photography_________________________When speaking with Steve on Monday, 24 April he would inquire if I had been aware of some of the changes along the H Street Corridor, in NE, WDC. I said that I had thinking that he was referring to Senate Square which is the former site of the Capitol Hill Children's Museum. He would then say that he meant further NE in the area near 12th Street and Benning Road. Saying that it was part of the revitalization as a result of the renoivation of the Atlas Theater. Which I knew noting or little of.Since we had not gotten together for severeal months I would suggest that we meet one day and perhpas do a photo tour of the area, He said 'why not tomorrow?'. Which would have been Tuesday, 25 April.Since I had a photo assignment at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial beginning at 10 AM we decided to meet at 12 noon in front of the National Building Museum. Which is where he would pick me up.We'd drive out to the H Street Corridor and in the block just before 12th Street, in NE. We'd spend the next hour taking pictures and having a quite bite at _________ and catching up on each others lives. As he had said, there are quite a few changes along that section of H Street. I certainly will return again for an ongoing photo project. |
