| 説明 | Only just started on the walk and I encountered this notice and took a pic in case I should need a back-up. No worries though as this amendment is incorporated in my map. I'm using Cateran Trail specific map from the Footprint publishing house. Not used one of their maps before but its first class the scale at 1:40,000 is more than adequate, its waterproof and lightweight and a nice touch is that its folded dimensions mean it can get into pockets without the struggle often needed with OS maps. This (red) amended route on the notice cuts out a lot of tarmac - hooray, its a bit longer but passes through some lovely Angus Glens en-route to Kirkton of Glenisla. But with my 1pm start I wont be getting quite as far as that today. |
