| 説明 | "Dear Mom, Sep. 13, 1943This is going to be a little unusually for me to write to you. But I have a chance to write this to you. Now first of all. When I left the states it was July 4, 42 and we left from Norfolk and went through the Panama Canal and then on the New Zealand. The trip took over a month and nothing happened to cause any excitement on the voyage. We stay in New Zealand a while at Wellington. Where we had some very wonderful liberty. The people there were swell. Then we left for Tulagi and arrived a few days after the fireworks had begun on the Solomons Battle. When we got there we moved..."From the James P.
