| 説明 | This is the 'classic' view of the Parish Church of St. Nicholas Thorne in Thorne, England. In February of 2005, I was in England visiting American military bases, and took the opportunity to visit Thorne, the ancestral home of my father's mother's family, the Canbys. Relying on a Canby family history that was written in 1945, I found this church, still operating after more than 1,000 years of existence. Many Canby family members attended this church, and one of them donated one of the bells in the bell tower. Being able to sit in the same church as my ancestors was a very special moment for me. |
