| 説明 | Having been partially derailed suffering minor damage at Penrith on 12 January DB Schenker's class 66 (JT42CWR) number 66061 in English, Welsh and Scottish Railway maroon with zigzag gold band has been repaired and returned to service working 6Z53 09:55, prior to this 6G98 06:30 Wadhurst to Tonbridge West. Here 66061 is seen hauling three sets of Lafarge Aggregates PHA-P self discharge train hopper wagons with a KJA unloading vehicle coupled to them at the back (www.flickr.com/photos/99279135@N05/12679220303/). Sets of these self discharging wagons have a conveyor belt built into the bottom of them allowing the wagons to be rapidly unloaded using the force of gravity. The contense of the hoppers falls onto the conveyor belt and is then moved along the train to the unloading vehicle where it can be directed to where it is needed. This removes the need for specialised unloading equipment at the destination. The same locomotive was photographed by Tom O'Donnell at Rugby hauling the same wagons working 6D30 on 15 February 2014 (www.flickr.com/photos/110511778@N03/12571224194/in/photol...). 66061 was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division, London, Ontario, Canada in 1999 and unloaded from the Heavy Lift Ship MV "Fairmast" at Newport Docks on 5 February 1999. |
