| 説明 | This was knit very quickly following the "Sheer One-Piece Shawl" pattern from Iris Schreier's "Modular Knits" book. The pattern is essentially all garter (knit) stitch, although every in every 6 row repeat there is one row with lots of yarn overs that get dropped in the next row, created a single row of elongated stitches. Very easy to execute, and the modular shaping is quite interesting. I used one skein of Brooks Farm Primero, a soft, 100% mohair yarn. Actually, I didn't even use the entire 500 yard hank. The pattern called for 525 yards of worsted weight yarn, so I was a bit concerned that I would run short. Obviously, that was not the case! I did stretch this quite a bit when blocking since it really looked terrible unblocked. After blocking, it measures 25 inches down the center back and 60.5 inches across the top. Brooks Farm yarns are totally yummy and I really look forward to layering with this piece as we move into cooler weather. |
