The float was connected to a leather bar which has a cop/jail theme, according to their logo, which also has the initials "CHP", possibly in reference to the California Highway Patrol.California traffic cops have a world wide gay following. Not because of anything they've done (as far as I know), but because of the art of Tom of Finland. Tom drew eroic ay cartoons filled with mucley manly men. This got him banned in finland, so he moved to california and drew masculine men he encountered there. Including cowboys, saillors, bikers and the CHP. Which is why a bar in copenhagen is making reference to the folks who give you speeding tickets on california freeways . . . Well, it's that or the huge popularity of Ponch and John in CHiPs.We ran into Copenhagen's pride parade! |
