| 説明 | I decided to pitch for the night here in the sheltering lee of a junction of walls. Alas it started to rain about an hour earlier (3pm) and the wind increased dramatically so the walls provide a good degree of shelter though the ground was pretty rough and as it was at this point that I discovered that my mattress was holed I can't count this spot to have been a very comfortable billet. Fortunately the bad weather wore itself out overnight and the cold was not an issue even at this 1,000' contour level. With Bolton Castle only a mile or two east, behind me, I was up early and away with the breaking dawn, even so; estate vehicles and workers were soon met along the way, if I was prone to paranoia, I might have thought they were out hunting for me, morning pleasantries were exchanged between us as we attended to our differing concerns... |
