| 説明 | Woke up at about 1:00 pm today and decided to go to Venice beach. How very different from the Strip. Everyone there has much more of a hang-loose atitude, but there are tons of muscleheads. No one in this town seems very genuine. I think everyone here is trying to get discovered. Venice beach is a bit like a Grateful Dead show at Ocean City. Lots of freaky little shops, tattoo parlors (which Ed could spend hours in) & expensive take-out joints w/ bad food. There was a gym on the beach (for members only), several psychics, hundreds of people roller blading, skating biking. Everyone trying to do their own thing, but since thier is a choice of about 7 things everyone looks the same. Except one guy I have seen in movies. He was dressed on flowing robes & a turban (with a visor) catchers shinguards & roller skates playing electric guitar through a little amp with a big belt of batteries. He was real tan & had a long beard. Very strange. There was also tons of foreigners here more so than anywhere else. Mostly girls, but you can bet the the slightly out of shape guys in banana hammocks (weenie bikinis) are not from this continent either. |
