説明 | These are the five massive Rocketdyne F-1 engines equipping the Saturn V rocket which sent humanity on the Moon for the first - and last, so far - time. By testing these engines the engineering team produced the most powerful noise ever heard on Earth. When five of these monsters were switched on to lift off the Saturn V, no human being within a one mile stay-out area would have survived to the sound wave they produced. Seismographs registered the vibrations 1000 miles away from the launch pad, and people heard a distinct low rumble 300 miles away. Thanks to NASA for inviting me over there, and being at the Kennedy Space Center to visit one of the most wonderful places I have ever seen. I wish you are doing good, and having soon the chance to be back at your amazing workplace again. |
