| 説明 | (1 in a multiple picture set)We took Hwy 97 out of Weed, CA, we drove behind Mt. Shasta. The winds were blowing a fine mist off of the extinct volcano and it hung over Mt. Shastina, a parasite mound caused by a smaller vent next to the major culdero of Mt. Shasta. I thought the late summer, burnt grass and wildflowers made a nice foreground. Usually the peaks are covered in snow, so it is a rare opportunity to see the detail of the volcanic cones. (See next picture for a closer view.) |
